We're seeking an enthusiastic Event Sales Planner to join the hotel team at a centrally located hotel in Melbourne's CBD.

About the Hotel:

Located in the heart of Melbourne, the hotel caters to a diverse clientele, with a focus on corporate accounts, and some government agencies, MICE and leisure travellers. 

Role Overview:

As an Event Sales Planner, you will be responsible for managing and cultivating relationships with corporate clients, government agencies, and leisure guests. Your primary focus will be on driving event sales and maximising revenue opportunities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Sales Executive looking to take the next step in their career, or a Sales Manager seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with mostly corporate clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive event sales revenue.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless event delivery and exceed client expectations.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and negotiate contracts.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.

Key Requirements:

Previous experience in event sales or a related sales role.

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent organisational and time management abilities.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Package:

Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per year
