Revised Cluster Executive Chef  - Luxury Hotel Group, Nigeria

Our client operates two of Nigeria's largest luxury five-star properties and is currently seeking a dynamic Cluster Executive Chef to lead the culinary departments at both establishments, elevating the overall culinary experience to new heights of excellence. Managing a combined culinary team of over 120 professionals, this role will oversee nine diverse food and beverage outlets, as well as cater to large banqueting events for over 2,500 guests. This presents an exciting opportunity to join one of the leading hotel companies in the region, with the position reporting directly to the Group General Manager.

We are seeking candidates with the following key attributes:

• Prior Sub-Saharan African Experience: Previous experience in Sub-Saharan Africa is highly advantageous.
• Adaptability to Remote Locations: Proven ability to work in challenging or remote locations.
• Logistic Expertise: Outstanding logistical skills to efficiently manage complex culinary operations.
• Mentorship and Training: Excellent mentoring and training capabilities, with a fair and firm leadership style.
• Culinary Proficiency: A well-rounded culinary professional with strong banqueting skills.
• Initiative and Resourcefulness: A self-starter who can think on their feet and deliver results.
• Five-Star Background: A solid background in the five-star hospitality market is essential.
• Current Executive Chef Experience: Currently holding a similar position or working as an Executive Chef in a large property with 400+ rooms and multiple food and beverage outlets, including extensive banqueting operations.
• Team Collaboration: Comfortable working with large multicultural teams and promoting a creative culinary environment.
• Formal Qualifications: Formal culinary qualifications such as City and Guilds or equivalent.
• Business Acumen: Excellent business acumen and strong guest interaction skills.
• Stability in Past Roles: Demonstrated stability in the last three professional roles.
• Communication Skills: A great communicator, fluent in English.
