We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Restaurant Floor Supervisor to join a larger team and assist to continue to deliver outstanding hospitality.

Job Description:

As the Restaurant Floor Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the guests have a memorable and seamless dining experience. You will work closely with the restaurant team to provide exceptional service, maintain a welcoming atmosphere, and uphold the high standards that the winery is known for.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the restaurant team to provide top-notch service
  • Greet and seat guests, ensuring they have an enjoyable visit
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including reservations, table assignments, and service flow
  • Train, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication and efficient service
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock control
  • Handle cash and payment transactions accurately

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Strong knowledge of food and wine, with a passion for the industry
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team to deliver outstanding service
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Problem-solving ability and the capacity to handle challenging situations calmly
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification
  • Knowledge of Mornington Peninsula wines and local produce is a plus
