Position: Executive Sous Chef

Location: Luxury Five-Star Hotel, Lagos, Nigeria

About the Hotel:

  • Well-established luxury five-star hotel in Lagos, renowned in the West African region.
  • Offers over 350 keys, multiple F&B outlets, and conference facilities for up to 1500 guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Executive Chef in maintaining high culinary standards across all outlets and banqueting.
  • Manage kitchen operations to cater to consistently high volumes in all outlets.

Key Attributes:

  • International experience preferred; candidates with diverse culinary backgrounds are encouraged.
  • Prior hardship or remote experience advantageous, demonstrating strong logistical skills.
  • Hands-on leadership approach, supporting the team on the kitchen floor.
  • Passion for cooking, creativity, and innovation in culinary arts.
  • Experience in similar positions within international four or five-star properties.
  • Strong classical training with the ability to train and mentor the brigade.
  • Excellent guest contact skills to interact with high-end clientele.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to manage multicultural teams effectively and sensitively.
  • Fluent in English, with effective communication skills at all levels.

Package:

  • Salary US$4,000 net per month.
  • On-site accommodation provided.
  • Comprehensive medical coverage.
  • Annual flight home.
  • Single status only.
