Facilities and Maintenance Manager - Wellness Retreat, Mornington Peninsula

Join a renowned wellness retreat on the Mornington Peninsula as the Facilities and Maintenance Manager. This key role involves overseeing all maintenance and engineering functions for an expansive property, ensuring the highest standards of operation and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall maintenance and engineering functions of the retreat, including preventive maintenance programs and daily operations.
  • Lead and supervise a team of 10+ maintenance staff, ensuring effective scheduling and task execution.
  • Maintain and repair machinery, manage inventory, and coordinate with frequently used third-party contractors and local councils.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Control and test several pools and water features, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards.
  • Supervise water technicians and conduct regular water testing.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, implement cost control measures, and ensure efficient use of resources.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a hotel or resort setting, with additional experience in spa, water treatments, or hot springs highly desirable.
  • Strong background in managing maintenance teams and overseeing large-scale property operations.
  • Expertise in electrical and hydraulic systems, pool and water feature maintenance.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in budget management and cost control.

Package:

$120,000 to $140,000 per year
