Pan Asian & Chinese Chef – 5-Star Hotel, Nigeria

A leading 5-star hotel in Nigeria is looking for an experienced Pan Asian & Chinese Chef to lead its culinary team. This role offers a unique opportunity to showcase your skills in traditional Chinese and Pan Asian cuisine while managing and training a local team to maintain superb standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the creation and preparation of authentic Pan Asian and Chinese dishes across multiple F&B outlets, ensuring the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality.
• Train, mentor, and develop a local team of chefs, enhancing their skills in traditional cooking techniques, kitchen efficiency, and modern culinary trends.
• Oversee the development of seasonal menus, ensuring dishes reflect the hotel's luxury brand and meet guest expectations.
• Control food costs by overseeing portion sizes, waste reduction, and inventory management.
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in line with both local regulations and international hospitality standards. 
• Monitor daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow, timely service, and consistent dish quality across all outlets
• Collaborate with the hotel’s executive team to plan and execute special events, banquets, and promotional dining experiences.

Requirements:

Proven experience in Pan Asian and Chinese cuisines, with a focus on traditional cooking methods and presentation.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and manage a diverse team of chefs.

Experience working in luxury hotels or high-end restaurants, with a focus on quality and guest satisfaction.

Strong understanding of cost control, kitchen management, and health & safety regulations.

Creativity in menu development and a passion for keeping up with culinary trends.

Willing to relocate and thrive in a new environment.

Compensation:

Salary: US$42,000 net per annum
