Executive Sous Chef – Nigeria

We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join a prestigious five-star hotel in Nigeria. This hotel features 6 diverse F&B outlets and extensive function facilities with a capacity of up to 1,500 guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all culinary operations across multiple outlets, including fine dining, casual dining, and banquet services.
  • Manage a large team of chefs, kitchen staff, and other food service personnel to maintain the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.
  • Ensure the seamless execution of events, banquets, and large-scale functions, meeting the expectations of up to 1,500 guests.
  • Contribute to menu development, ensuring innovation while maintaining quality consistency across all outlets.
  • Supervise inventory management, cost control, and ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the hotel’s management team to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Ideal Candidate:

  • African experience is preferred, with a strong background in large hotel operations.
  • Must have worked in a five-star, 400+ room hotel, preferably with multiple F&B outlets.
  • Proven experience in managing large kitchen teams and high-volume service environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A passion for culinary innovation and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
