General Manager – 3-Star Hotel, Angola

A leading hospitality group is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of a 250-room, 3-star hotel in a remote location in Angola. This role requires a dynamic leader with proven expertise in managing both accommodation and a thriving Food & Beverage (F&B) operation. Portuguese fluency is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the entire hotel operation, ensuring excellence in guest experience and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee a strong F&B business, including restaurants, bars, and banqueting facilities.
  • Drive profitability and achieve business targets while maintaining cost controls.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a multicultural team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Build strong relationships with local stakeholders and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Manage the challenges of operating in a remote location, ensuring smooth supply chain logistics and staff retention.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or Hotel Manager in a similar-sized property, ideally in remote locations.
  • Expertise in F&B operations with a strong business acumen.
  • Fluent in Portuguese (essential).
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and resourceful in managing remote operations.

Benefits:

Salary: US$120,000 per annum (net)
