We are seeking an experienced Head Chef for our busy, award-winning restaurant, known for its innovative take on modern Asian cuisine. This high-energy kitchen offers a vibrant share plate concept that brings together bold flavours and stunning presentations, creating an unforgettable dining experience.

Location: Townsville

Salary: $95,000 - $100,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate a busy kitchen, ensuring smooth operations during peak service times.
• Manage and elevate the food concept, consistently delivering top-quality dishes with an innovative twist on Asian flavours.
• Supervise, train, and inspire your kitchen team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and stock control to maintain cost efficiency and ingredient quality.
• Report directly to the Group Executive Chef and contribute to the development of the restaurant's overall culinary strategy.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and kitchen protocols.
• Continuously innovate and push the boundaries of flavour and presentation to keep the menu fresh and exciting.

Ideal Candidate:

• 5+ years of experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen, preferably within modern Asian cuisine.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team under pressure.
• A passion for culinary innovation and the ability to maintain consistency while introducing creative twists.
• Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of kitchen operations.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
