About The Client:

Our client is a well-established operator with multiple restaurants and entities across Queensland. As they expand their portfolio with modern concepts in Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, we are now seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead a new restaurant and bar project in Townsville.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative culinary leader with a passion for Italian and Mediterranean flavours. In this role, you will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring impeccable presentation and quality, while managing administration, stock control, cost of goods, and wage control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute authentic Italian and Mediterranean menus that delight the guests.
• Manage daily kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.
• Oversee and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and excellence in all culinary outputs.
• Implement efficient stock control practices and monitor food costs and wage allocations.
• Collaborate with management to streamline operations and contribute to the overall success of the restaurant and bar.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef, specialising in Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.
• Exceptional focus on presentation, quality control, and culinary innovation.
• Strong administrative skills with a thorough understanding of stock control, cost management, and labour budgeting.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant culinary qualifications and certifications are preferred.

Salary & Benefits:

• Competitive salary range: $100,000 – $125,000 per annum.
