Business Development Manager – High-Impact Conference & Events Venue

Perth, Western Australia |  Salary Negotiable

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join the commercial team of one of Perth’s leading hotels, home to a high-impact and versatile conference and event centre catering to corporate, government, and social markets.

Working in close collaboration with the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will drive business growth through strategic partnerships, proactive client engagement, and market development. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic hospitality brand with strong market presence and a commitment to excellence in event delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the MICE, corporate, government, and association sectors
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, agencies, and industry partners
  • Collaborate with the sales and events teams to ensure seamless handover and delivery of booked events
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic sales initiatives
  • Represent the hotel and conference centre at industry events, trade shows, and client functions
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and detailed reporting to support sales objectives

Requirements:

Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within hospitality, events, or conference services

Strong understanding of the Perth market, particularly in conferences and corporate events

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Results-driven, proactive, and highly organised

Ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing team and under the guidance of the DOSM
