Director of People & Culture – Leading International Hotel | Perth

Salary: Negotiable | Reports to: GM

Join one of Perth’s most prestigious international hotels as Director of People & Culture, where you will play a key leadership role in shaping a people-first culture and driving strategic HR initiatives across the property.

In this dynamic and visible role, you will lead all facets of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee engagement, training and development, performance management, industrial relations, and compliance. This position reports directly to the General Manager and works closely with the broader executive leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

Champion a culture of excellence, inclusion, and continuous improvement

Lead and mentor a high-performing HR team across the hotel

Oversee recruitment strategies to attract and retain top-tier hospitality talent

Manage industrial relations and ensure compliance with all employment laws and hotel policies

Drive staff engagement, well-being, and professional development initiatives

Contribute to strategic planning with a people-focused lens

Foster strong relationships with department heads to support operational goals

About You:

• Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role within the hospitality, hotel, or service industry
• Deep understanding of Australian employment laws & modern awards.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, advise, and support executive leadership
• A passion for people development, team culture, and guest service excellence
• Experience in managing HR in a large, multicultural environment
