Director of Rooms – Luxury Five-Star Hotel | Papua New Guinea

Our client operates one of the premier luxury hotels in Papua New Guinea and is currently seeking an experienced Director of Rooms to oversee front office, housekeeping, guest services, and other related departments. The property features over 380 rooms, five F&B outlets, and banqueting facilities for up to 1,500 guests, making it essential for candidates to have experience managing large-scale operations in a high-volume, five-star environment.


Key Requirements & Attributes:

  • Leads by example and upholds the highest standards of ethics and integrity
  • Prior experience in remote or hardship postings is essential
  • Background with Marriott International or similar global hotel brands is highly preferred
  • Proficient in Opera PMS
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as Director of Rooms (or similar role) in a large-scale international hotel or resort (300+ rooms)
  • Holds a degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities with experience managing multicultural teams
  • Strong training focus – a natural mentor and coach
  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills and fluency in English
  • Positive mindset and a hands-on, ‘can-do’ attitude


Package & Benefits:

Salary: Up to US$5,000 net/month, depending on experience

Accommodation: On-site, fully inclusive of meals and utilities

2 flights annually (1 home leave + 1 R&R trip to Australia)
