We are delighted to be conducting a confidential search for a Chef de Cuisine (CDC) to join the leadership team of an internationally renowned private island resort. This breathtaking destination is celebrated as one of the world’s most exciting and luxurious escapes, offering an extraordinary lifestyle and the chance to work with a world-class culinary team.
The Role:
As Chef de Cuisine, you will be the second-in-command of the kitchen, working closely with the Executive Chef and taking charge in their absence. Your main responsibility will be to lead operations for the resort’s main restaurant as well as overseeing the staff kitchens, ensuring the highest standards of quality, creativity, and consistency are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the resort’s main restaurants and staff kitchen facilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multicultural culinary team
- Ensure exceptional standards of presentation, quality, and guest satisfaction
- Support the Executive Chef in menu development, culinary innovation, and supplier relations
- Take full responsibility for kitchen operations during the Executive Chef’s absence
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Senior Sous Chef in a luxury resort or five-star environment
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple outlets
- Creative culinary vision with a focus on premium international cuisine
- Experience in remote or island operations, highly regarded
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
Package:
- Salary: US$80,000 – US$90,000 Net
