Chief Engineer – Luxury 5-Star Boutique Hotel | Central London

We are seeking an accomplished Chief Engineer to lead and manage the Engineering Department of a prestigious luxury 5-star boutique hotel located in Central London. The property, part of an internationally acclaimed luxury hotel group, offers around 90 elegantly designed rooms and suites, combining heritage architecture with modern sophistication.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all engineering and maintenance operations across the property, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and guest comfort.

Manage preventive maintenance programs for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.

Lead, train, and motivate a team of engineers and technicians to deliver consistent service excellence.

Develop and manage departmental budgets, energy conservation programs, and capital improvement projects.

Coordinate with external contractors and ensure full compliance with UK health and safety regulations.

Support hotel management with strategic and operational planning related to property maintenance and sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chief Engineer or Engineering Manager within a 5-star hotel environment.

Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, BMS).

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
