Executive Housekeeper – Luxury Family Resort, Kenya

We are seeking a talented Executive Housekeeper to join a prestigious luxury family resort in Kenya. This busy property features over 300 rooms and suites, offering an exceptional guest experience across family, leisure, and corporate segments.

The ideal candidate will be an African-experienced professional with a proven background in luxury hotels or resorts, capable of leading a large and diverse housekeeping team in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all housekeeping and laundry operations for 300+ rooms and resort public areas.
• Lead, train, and motivate a large housekeeping team to maintain world-class cleanliness and service standards.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, cost controls, rosters, and inventory systems.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate closely with Front Office and Engineering to maintain room readiness and presentation.
• Utilise Opera PMS for room management, status updates, and departmental coordination.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper in a 4- or 5-star hotel/resort.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills, with a focus on training and quality control.
• Solid financial and administrative acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior to African hospitality experience essential.
