We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer with strong technical expertise and proven leadership in resort or hotel engineering operations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all engineering and maintenance operations across a large beachfront resort with 250+ rooms.

Lead and motivate a diverse, multicultural and international team to achieve operational excellence.

Ensure efficient preventive maintenance programs and effective management of work orders.

Maintain smooth operation of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems.

Manage budgets, energy conservation, and cost control initiatives.

Coordinate closely with other departments to ensure guest comfort and minimal downtime.

Uphold safety, health, and environmental standards across all technical operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer in a 4- or 5-star property.
• Strong background in HVAC, mechanical engineering, and refrigeration systems.
• Proven record of leading large teams in busy, high-occupancy environments.
• Excellent coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Prior African experience preferred.
• Degree or certification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, an advantage.
