Executive Chef – Luxury Five-Star Hotel, East Africa

We are seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of a prestigious five-star hotel in East Africa. The property features 200+ rooms, multiple restaurants and bars, and banqueting facilities for up to 1,500 guests.

Key Attributes

  • Previous African experience is essential – this is a prerequisite for consideration.
  • Strong, well-rounded culinary background with expertise in multi-outlet operations and large-scale banqueting.
  • Proven track record as Executive Chef in luxury five-star hotels of similar size (200+ rooms).
  • Hands-on leader with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experienced in managing large, multicultural kitchen brigades.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English required.
  • Organised, disciplined, and adaptable, ideally with previous experience in remote or challenging locations.
  • Formally trained with recognised culinary qualifications.
  • Confident with guest interaction and maintaining high presentation standards.
  • Demonstrates sound business acumen and effective cost management.

Salary: Up to US$5,000 net per month
