Chief Engineer – Leading Hotel, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join the leadership team of one of Port Moresby’s premier hotels. The successful candidate will oversee a large engineering and maintenance department, ensuring the property operates at the highest standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the engineering and maintenance operations across the hotel.

Oversee preventive maintenance programs and ensure all facilities and systems operate efficiently.

Manage budgets, contractors, and project works.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and brand standards.

Train and mentor a multi-skilled technical team.

Requirements:

• Recognised engineering qualification (electrical discipline preferred).
• Proven experience in branded hotel environments such as Accor, InterContinental, Hyatt, or Marriott.

Strong leadership and project management skills.

Previous experience working in remote or developing regions is highly regarded.

Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Compensation:

Salary: US$80,000 – US$84,000 net per annum
