We are seeking an experienced and proactive Director of Housekeeping to lead a large team in a flagship hotel property. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional with extensive experience in large-scale operations, looking to drive excellence in guest experience, operational efficiency, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort.
Maintain optimal staffing levels by monitoring occupancy and aligning resources accordingly; conduct regular team meetings to foster effective communication.
Lead, mentor, and develop a large housekeeping team, building a culture of accountability, motivation, and service excellence.
Develop, implement, and monitor operational plans, standard procedures, and quality control measures across all housekeeping functions.
Conduct regular inspections to maintain standards for room presentation, amenities, and public area cleanliness.
Manage inventory control of linens, uniforms, and supplies, ensuring par stock levels and cost efficiency without compromising service quality.
Collaborate closely with other department heads to streamline operations and ensure rapid resolution of guest requests and complaints.
Ensure comprehensive staff training on hygiene, sanitation, safety, and emergency procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of the hotel.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of senior housekeeping management experience in large-scale international hotels or resorts.
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement training programs to enhance staff performance and development.
- Strong leadership, communication, and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Opera PMS or similar property management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Fluent in English.
