Category Manager – Beer

Our client is a leading importer and distributor of alcoholic beverages in the Middle East, operating across retail, home delivery, and on-trade channels. With a cutting-edge portfolio of 400+ products from over 50 international producers, the company represents some of the world’s most established and fastest-growing beverage brands.

They are now seeking an experienced Beer Category Manager (BCM) to oversee and develop the beer portfolio across all channels in Bahrain. This role is pivotal in driving portfolio strategy, market positioning, and commercial performance, while strengthening the company’s reputation as the premier destination for curated beer collections.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the beer category strategy across on-trade, off-trade, and retail channels
• Drive portfolio development, brand positioning, and route-to-market execution
• Conduct market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and trend identification
• Manage pricing, margins, stock levels, and depletion performance
• Work closely with sales, marketing, suppliers, and key stakeholders
• Deliver product training and brand education to staff and customers
• Support promotional planning, launches, and activation initiatives

Key Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in beer category management or related commercial roles
• (GCC experience strongly preferred)
• Strong commercial acumen with proven skills in pricing, margins, stock, and depletion control
• In-depth knowledge of mainstream, craft, and speciality beers
• Confident presenter and trainer, able to engage both internal teams and customers
• Proficient in Salesforce / CRM systems, PowerBI or Tableau, and Excel
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Fluent English essential; Arabic a strong advantage
