We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Group Chief Engineer to oversee engineering and maintenance operations across several hotels and hospitality venues in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. This is a high-profile role ideal for candidates with experience in challenging or remote locations, capable of leading diverse teams and driving excellence in property maintenance and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering and maintenance teams across multiple properties
• Oversee and ensure preventative maintenance programs are implemented and monitored
• Manage and mentor local and multicultural teams of engineering and maintenance professionals
• Coach and develop staff to achieve high performance and professional growth
• Drive operational excellence and safety across all engineering functions
• Report to senior management on technical, operational, and maintenance performance

About You

• Proven experience as a Chief Engineer or Assistant Group Engineer in hospitality
• Experience managing hardship or remote locations
• Skilled in leading multicultural teams
• Strong technical knowledge of hotel engineering systems and preventative maintenance programs
• Experienced in mentoring, coaching, and developing engineering professionals
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Able to operate across multiple properties and fast-paced environments
