A leading international hotel in Hobart is seeking an experienced and service-driven Director of Rooms to lead the Front Office and Rooms Division of a 200+ room property.

This is a senior leadership role for a proven hotel professional who is passionate about service excellence, operational efficiency, and guest experience innovation. Sponsorship is available for the right international candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Front Office and Rooms Operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, and Guest Services
• Drive a guest-centric culture, uplifting service standards and consistency across the Rooms Division
• Develop, implement, and refine guest-friendly, efficient operating procedures and service standards
• Act as the architect of service delivery, ensuring smooth workflows, strong communication, and operational excellence
• Manage budgets, forecasting, and cost controls for the Rooms Division
• Lead, coach, and develop a diverse team, fostering engagement and high performance
• Collaborate closely with the Executive Team to deliver strategic and commercial objectives
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, WHS, and local regulations

Candidate Profile

Proven experience as a Director of Rooms or Senior Rooms Leader in a large hotel environment

Strong background in 200+ room operations within an international or branded hotel

Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills

A hands-on operator with a passion for service excellence and continuous improvement

Strong understanding of front office systems, labour management, and performance metrics

Ability to inspire teams and deliver memorable guest experiences
