Position Available: Relief General Manager – Multi-Properties

 Salary: PGK 350,000 – 500,000 (Net) (US$80-115K)+ Car + Expat Benefits- Single Status Only

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Relief General Manager to oversee multiple hotel properties across Papua New Guinea. This role is designed to provide executive leadership coverage during General Manager annual leave periods or while onboarding newly appointed General Managers.

This is a senior operational leadership role requiring a strong, hands-on hotelier who can seamlessly step in and ensure operational stability, financial performance, and team engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the entire hotel operation across assigned properties

Provide leadership continuity in the absence of the appointed General Manager

Ensure operational excellence across:

Food & Beverage, Rooms Division, Guest Services, Back-of-House operations

Maintain strong financial oversight, cost control, and revenue performance

Uphold brand standards and service excellence

Lead, motivate, and manage large local and international workforces

Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive workplace culture

Candidate Profile

Proven experience as a General Manager in full-service hotels or resorts

Strong operational background with solid knowledge of both F&B and Rooms Division

Demonstrated ability to manage complex operations and multiple departments

Exceptional guest service focus — service excellence is paramount

Experienced in leading diverse teams across different cultural backgrounds

A caring, people-focused leadership style with strong staff engagement skills
