Director of Rooms – Luxury Hotel | Southern Africa

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Director of Rooms to join a luxury 200-room hotel in Southern Africa, available immediately.

We are seeking a dynamic hospitality professional with strong operational leadership and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role oversees Housekeeping and Wellness operations and leads a large team in a high-end hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all Rooms Division operations, with a strong focus on Housekeeping and Wellness/Spa facilities

Lead, train, and motivate a team of up to 75 staff

Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort

Ensure efficient staff scheduling, training, and performance management

Implement and monitor quality control procedures and service standards

Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences

Manage departmental budgets, cost controls, and operational efficiencies

Maintain luxury brand standards and ensure guest satisfaction at all times

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a Director of Rooms, Executive Housekeeper, or Rooms Division Manager in a luxury hotel environment
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing large operational teams
• Excellent understanding of housekeeping operations, wellness/spa coordination, and guest service standards
• Highly organised with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• International luxury hospitality experience preferred

The Offer

Salary: US$42,000 net per year
