This role is designed for a chef who enjoys responsibility within a key section of the kitchen, with a strong focus on sauces, flavour development, and supporting consistent service across both restaurant and smaller event operations.
Role Overview
The Chef Saucier plays a central role in ensuring depth of flavour, consistency, and timing across dishes. You will work closely with the wider brigade to ensure seamless coordination during service and contribute to maintaining high standards across all meal periods.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all sauce preparation and execution within the kitchen
• Ensure consistency, taste balance, and quality across all dishes leaving the section
• Support à la carte and group service operations
• Work closely with other sections to ensure smooth service flow
• Assist in developing new sauce components and refinements where required
• Maintain strong organisation and cleanliness within your section
• Support junior chefs through guidance and practical training
• Contribute to efficient kitchen coordination during peak service periods
Candidate Profile
- • Previous experience in a Chef Saucier or similar role within hotel or restaurant kitchens
- • Strong technical knowledge of classical and contemporary sauces
- • Ability to perform under pressure in a structured brigade environment
- • Good communication skills in English or German
- • Strong attention to detail and consistency
- • Team-focused with a calm and professional approach
- • Comfortable working across both à la carte and event-based service
- • EU working eligibility required
