Director of People and Culture – Phu Quoc, Vietnam

A prestigious luxury resort in Phu Quoc, Vietnam is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of People and Culture to join its Executive Committee and lead all Human Resources functions across the resort.

 Key Responsibilities

* Lead and oversee all People and Culture operations across the resort

* Develop and implement Human Resources strategies, policies, and best practices to support business objectives

* Oversee recruitment, talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, and retention initiatives

* Manage payroll, performance management, employee relations, and disciplinary processes

* Drive learning and development, succession planning, and leadership development programmes

* Ensure compliance with Vietnam Labour Laws, company policies, and HR governance standards

* Prepare HR budgets, workforce planning, and people-related reports

* Partner closely with the General Manager and Executive Committee to support organisational performance and culture

* Lead, mentor, and develop the People and Culture team while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

 Ideal Candidate

* Vietnamese nationals only

* Minimum 10 years' experience in Human Resources Management, including at least 3 years as a Director of People and Culture within the hospitality industry

* Strong expertise in hotel Human Resources management, payroll, recruitment, training, and employee relations

* Experience in large-scale hotel operations or pre-opening projects is highly preferred

* Sound knowledge of Vietnam Labour Laws and people management practices

* Strong leadership capability with proven stakeholder management skills

* Commercially minded with the ability to support operational decision-making at Executive Committee level
