A leading Australian organisation is seeking an experienced Operations & Administration Manager to oversee the complex day-to-day operations of its Melbourne CBD entity.
This role is ideally suited to someone with a background in Front Office Management, Rooms Division, Executive Housekeeping, Hotel Administration, Facilities Operations, or Hotel Operations, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading people, and is passionate about delivering operational excellence.
About the Role
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the services while leading administration, people processes, workplace operations and stakeholder engagement.
You will introduce innovative ideas, improve operational efficiencies, establish best-practice procedures and drive a culture focused on exceptional service standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a proactive, highly organised professional capable of managing multiple priorities while supporting a large workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations
Oversee workplace administration, building operations and facilities management.
Coordinate recruitment activities, interviews and employee onboarding.
Support employee performance, disciplinary processes and general HR administration.
Assist with workforce planning and staff rostering.
Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and continuous improvement initiatives.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party providers.
Monitor operational performance through clear benchmarking, reporting and service standards.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and the overall workplace experience.
About You
- You are an energetic leader who enjoys creating structure, improving processes and motivating people to perform at their best.
- You will bring:
- Previous leadership experience within hotels, hospitality or facilities operations.
- A background in Front Office, Rooms Division, Executive Housekeeping, Hotel Administration or Corporate Services.
- Strong people leadership and workforce management experience.
- Exposure to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and HR administration.
- Experience coordinating external contractors and service providers.
- Outstanding organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and excellent administrative capability.
- A positive, solutions-focused attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement.
