Finance Manager – 300+ Room Hotel | Melbourne

Salary Package: Approximately $150,000

A leading 300+ room hotel in Melbourne is seeking a commercially astute and forward-thinking Finance Manager to join its executive leadership team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced hospitality finance professional who is passionate about driving business performance, establishing new financial benchmarks, and partnering with operational leaders to maximise profitability.

Working closely with the Corporate Finance Office, you will provide strategic financial leadership across the property, supporting Department Heads with insightful analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and revenue optimisation.

The successful candidate will have a strong commercial mindset and a proven ability to identify opportunities that improve financial performance while introducing innovative approaches to an already successful operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Corporate Finance team to deliver strategic financial objectives.
• Drive commercial performance through effective financial planning and analysis.
• Establish new benchmarks for revenue growth, profitability, and cost management.
• Support Department Heads with financial guidance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with the Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, and Events teams to maximise revenue opportunities and operational efficiencies.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and business planning.
• Deliver accurate financial insights that support executive decision-making.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous Finance Manager experience within a hotel of 250+ rooms.

Strong commercial acumen with a strategic approach to financial management.

Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

A proven track record of improving financial performance and operational efficiencies.

The ability to influence, coach, and support senior operational leaders.
