Executive Chef

Our client operates a smaller 100 room and five-star rated hotel in Melbourne and is now looking for a dynamic individual to head up the culinary team. The property offers an award-winning restaurant and conference facilities for up to 400 guests, and therefore the ideal candidate will come from a similar sized luxury operation where he/she was an Executive Chef.

The role requires a safe pair of hands and an individual who leads the team from the front on the kitchen.

The client is looking for someone who still enjoys cooking and brings flair and creativity to the kitchen while still having fun

A sound classical training is required, with excellent knowledge of basic techniques and the ability to train and mentor the brigade.

A sound business acumen is required, and candidates must be comfortable working with budgets and cost control.

The candidate must be able to communicate effectively at all levels including other departments, management and suppliers.
